Antique Print, Vatican statue, Venere Vincitrice (Victorious Venus) Trovata negli scavi di Otricoli ( Discovered in excavations of the archaelogical park of Otricoli, in Ternia, Umbria, Italy.

Fine original mezzotint and line engraving by Giuseppe Sforza Perini (1748 - after 1795), from the drawing by Vincenzo Dolcibene(1746-1820), for Il Museo Pio Clementino published in Rome circa 1784 by the conservator of the Capitoline Museum in the Vatican, Italian archaeologist Ennio Quirini Visconti (1751-1818), to illustrate Renaissance works and other fine antiquities on exhibit at the Museum of Sculpture established in 1771 by Pope Clement XIV (169-1774). Ennio worked as assistant to his Father Giovannit Battista Antonio Visconti (1722-1784), who was prefect of antiquities in Rome from 1768. Ennio completed this important work after his father's death.
